Meet Sharmaine Mercer, PMHNP-BC, AGACNP-BC

Okay, so here's the thing - I'm a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I'm double board certified, and I spent years working in Grady's trauma ICU as an ICU nurse practitioner. On paper, 1 look like I have it all figured out.

I also have ADHD and I'm bipolar. And I say that with my whole chest, no shame, no asterisk, no disclaimer. It is what it is. I am what I am. And honestly? It's a big part of why I'm so good at what I do.
I built WLWDJ because I got tired of watching women who look like me - educated, accomplished, holding everything together - walk into spaces where they had to shrink themselves just to be taken seriously. I've been that woman. I know what it feels like to be struggling and still somehow seem fine to everyone around you. This practice exists for her. For you.
No code-switching. No over-explaining. No convincing someone that what you're carrying is real. You can show up here exactly as you are - messy, exhausted, high-achieving, falling apart, all of it.
